Community, Shows, Branding, Merchandise
Creatives made for the Marina Theatre were primarily made through my vision with guidance from department heads. This way we ensured that the groups, shows, and theatre were portrayed accurately.
If there was a specific vision for a workpiece then it would follow a standard brief with key details to be included, visual inspiration, or a worded description of how it would prefer to be displayed. Followed by mockups, fine-tuning, and then final pieces tuned into multiple formats allow for a wide range of use. Ranging from Flyers, Posters, Social banners, Social Posts, Social Stories, Emails and more…

Marina Community Logo Rebrand
The brief was composed of creating an accurate and playful but professional representation of the community groups, which are mostly comprised of music and drama.
After a handful of drafts, we landed on this piece. A vector piece that mixes theatre masks and a musical note with contoured lines to fit the emotions of the happy and sad split between the masks. It gives off a heavy "premium" feel.

Marina Community Graphic T-Shirts
Presented with making a "Collab" T-Shirt for Lowestoft First Light Festival between Marina Theatre and its "Community ARTS" group within a day's notice this is the design I came up with. When creating this piece I was heavily inspired by modern street style retro graphic t-shirts for the front of the shirt. With a bold font and a collage of handpicked pictures from the limited pool of captures from the community sessions, it clearly and accurately shows the diversity of the community groups. The back of the shirt was inspired by music/show tours but instead of locations it lists the key groups that make up the community as well as an artistic merger of the two logos.

Group: Marina Choir
This was an open set piece with no design brief, simply with the goal to create promotional material for print for the community group Marina Choir. Like many community posts, the meaning behind these is to spread awareness and get more leads applying or trialing for the Marina Choir group.

Group: Music Hour
This was a poster/flyer created for the group “Music Hour”. It's an informal music session for people with dementia who have a love for music.
To represent this the design is a man split in two, one-half old, and one-half young. Clothing, accessories, and setting showing “both sides of the coin” to inspire old musicians to pick up an instrument again or newcomers to have a go for the first time.
We wanted to push more men into the community groups because they are mostly comprised of women. So, with the design being male-orientated it increases relatability and hopefully makes potential members think “This is for me.”.

Shows: "SDF"
"SDF" or Schools Dance Festival is comprised of two shows that were performed at the Marina Theatre.
In some respects, they are the same show, but they are distinguished by the age groups of those performing them. The audiences are mostly attended by family and friends of the performers.
Being a school group, they didn’t have any designs themselves and asked if I could put something together for them that had a similar feel but still differentiated them enough to not confuse attendees.

Show: Amelia
Amelia was an in-house company production following the story of Amelia Earhart and her epic story and life journey till her sudden disappearance in her attempt to fly the globe in 1937.
I was tasked with making the creatives for the production and went for a colourful summer evening coluor palette in a vector style that came out very well.

Template Brochures
These template brochures were implemented to be hot-swappable for the content of the “Screening & Cinema” brochure to allow members of staff without skill or time in Adobe InDesign to make brochures effortlessly.
These professional layouts would ensure brand styling and layouts between brochures, ultimately improving consistency.
As well as helping others make the brochure in my absence this also increased my workflow and allowed me to create copies of these brochures more efficiently, saving lots of time.
